Gavin is a prolific property developer who has purchased several bespoke kitchens from us in the past. For this project, he was developing a new build — a five-bedroom detached family home. He brought in the architectural plans early so we could plan the first fix plumbing and electrics. The open-plan kitchen space offered fantastic rear views, which Gavin wanted to make the most of.
His brief was to create a timeless, modern kitchen with a small bar area, achieving a strong wow factor for resale, while keeping the design cost-efficient for a developer’s budget.
We selected a monochrome palette using Graphite Grey J-pull handleless doors paired with a white marble-effect quartz worktop for a sleek, timeless aesthetic.
Appliances were chosen from the Bosch Studio Black range to complement the dark cabinetry and maintain a consistent premium look.
The design featured double-height units to maximise storage and accentuate the room’s height, along with stepped-back wall units to add visual interest and depth.
A large central island with stool seating and a hob positioned to face the garden views became the focal point of the space. To enhance functionality, we incorporated larder pan drawers, a bin adjacent to the sink and dishwasher, and fully integrated fridge and freezer units to suit a busy family lifestyle.
“From the design stage right through to the delivery and the experience we had with the amazing fitting team was second to none.”
“Working on this project was a great balance between style and practicality. Keeping within a developer’s budget while achieving a high-end feel was challenging but rewarding.”
